Felger: Okay, I have no idea if it adds up or not. Let’s pretend it does. Do you think that’s real?
Jim Murray: No.
Mazz: No.
Jim Murray: Doesn’t sound like Bill. Anything he’d ever do.
Mazz: That’s a big price.
Felger: So right. Thank you for saying that. They’re going to spend? Now, this isn’t money because of the rookie contract, still going to be valuable, but this is assets in a trade. They’re going to spend that much just to start over with another rookie quarterback?
Mazz: If they’re going up to number two, aren’t they taking C.J. Stroud? Like he’s second best quarterback on the board.
Felger: Not according to other Reddit reports that said Will Levis is up there.
Jim Murray: This thing is shaking out all of the place. There could be a couple of defensive players going after Young with the first pick.
Felger: Would you do it? Should they do it?
Mazz: No.
Jim Murray: Yes and yes,.
Felger: No.
Jim Murray: They need excitement and Mac Jones sucks. Yes.
Mazz: If they’re going up here to get Stroud, that’s a little different.
Felger: No. I don’t care who they’re going for, unless it’s Peyton Manning up there. No, no, no, no, no. Going to pay all that just to start all over with another rookie quarterback?
Mazz: I don’t mind it.
Felger: I hate it.
Jim Murray: Yes. Buzz and excitement, which they desperately need.
Felger: I hate it.
Mazz: I don’t mind it. I just don’t believe in Jones. You do. That’s what the fundamental thing is between the two of us on that.
Felger: I agree. I believe in him enough not to start all over with another effin kid. I hate that idea.
Mazz: But the only quarterbacks they’ve been linked to are Levis and Richardson, right? And both those guys to me are projects. Like, upside is huge but they’re not ready to play in the league right now. And I know they have Zappe, but I don’t want to swap out Mac Jones for a guy who is a maybe.
