As the 2023 comes to a close, the journey has been nothing short of a rollercoaster ride, marked by soaring highs and some rather challenging lows when it comes to high quality web content.
An accurate representation of me hard at work:
Throughout 2023, I’ve managed to reach levels I never thought I’d be able to hit. The early months witnessed a surge in the 1st quarter, driven by my ability to tap into trending topics and deliver content that resonated, like this gem: ‘Is Brady’s new girlfriend an upgrade or downgrade?’ That article was a HUGE hit at the station. No one was upset about it…. I’m joking of course. I believe the writers were not thrilled about the content.
The 2nd quarter was no different, with articles like ‘The definitive list of places to get a roast beef sandwich in Massachusetts’ and ‘The definitive list of places for bar pizza around Boston and the South Shore’, I was able to reach my Q2 goal.
The inevitable slump arrived during the summer months, those seemingly endless days when the article often feels the heat. With vacation time, fewer thrilling topics and sports to write about, I struggled to maintain the same spirited momentum. Even with articles like “12 best things about my 12-foot skeleton“,
“The full list of the jersey numbers retired by the Boston Bruins” and “The worst Super Bowl Halftime performances (according to the internet).
Yet, it’s the challenge that fans the flames of my determination. I dived headfirst into a whirlwind of brainstorming sessions, experimenting with different formats, and even joining forces with fellow producers and on-air personalities to inject a breath of fresh air into my content. One of those people was Kendra Middleton, who was cool with me writing about how she went viral after sharing her thoughts on Tom Brady and publications running with rumors. Slowly but surely, the numbers began to ascend once again.
And now, the end of the year is in sight and I must say, I’m quite proud of the glorious content I’ve shared with the masses!
