There’s a ‘real possibility’ the Dolphins will be without their top offensive weapon on Sunday
As the New England Patriots get ready to face the Miami Dolphins this Sunday, the status of the Dolphins’ top offensive playmaker is up in the air. That was made clear by Wednesday’s injury report and a follow-up report as well.
Wide receiver Tyreek Hill (hip) was one of five players who didn’t practice for the Dolphins on Wednesday. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport later tweeted that it “sounds like a real possibility” that Hill doesn’t play on Sunday.

Hill wasn’t the only key player for Miami to miss practice on Wednesday. Running back Raheem Mostert (ankle) and safety Jevon Holland (concussion) both missed practice as well.
Meanwhile, wide receiver Jaylen Waddle (back) was limited after leaving last week’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles early. The Dolphins also have five cornerbacks listed as limited including Xavien Howard (groin) and Jalen Ramsey (knee).
As for the Patriots, they began the week with just one player missing practice. Rookie defensive lineman Keion White (concussion) is still out after missing last week’s game with a concussion.
11 players were limited for the Patriots on Wednesday. That includes offensive tackle Trent Brown (ankle/knee), who got hurt late in Sunday’s win over Miami, and linebacker Josh Uche (ankle/toe), who missed that game.
There are also a handful of players removed from the report after appearing in recent weeks. That group is highlighted by wide receivers JuJu Smith-Schuster and Demario Douglas and offensive linemen David Andrews and Mike Onwenu.

Over the hump with an upset win: 11 takeaways as the Patriots beat the Bills
The New England Patriots are back in the win column, and in a big way. On Sunday at Gillette Stadium, the Patriots knocked off the Buffalo Bills 29-25 snapping a three-game losing streak.
Not only did the Patriots snap their losing streak for the season, they also got over the hump against a team that has played them as tough as any other in the post-Tom Brady era. The Patriots had lost four in a row to the Bills and six of seven dating back to the start of the 2020 season, with the lone game coming in extreme winds in Buffalo in 2021.

It wasn’t just any win either. The Patriots were able to do some things – especially offensively – that they’ve struggled to do the past few seasons. That included getting off to a hot start (they were up 10-0 early thanks to an interception on their first defensive play of the game), putting together a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, and winning a game in which the other team scored 25-plus points (it was their first such win since a 30-27 win in November of 2020).
How did they get it done? Let’s get into that and more observations in this week’s takeaways…
