New England Revolution Unified Team Takes on Georgia
It was cool and cloudy on Saturday when the New England Revolution Unified Team took the field at Gillette Stadium for their annual Unified Match. For the eighth season the team, comprised of Special Olympics Massachusetts athletes and Unified Sports Partners, took on a Unified team from another market, this year being Georgia. The mission of this annual game is to utilize the power of sports to promote an environment of inclusion and friendly competition, a value that both The Revs and Special Olympics Massachusetts uphold.

Not only do the athletes get to experience playing on the turf at Gillette Stadium, but they’re treated to a pro level signing day, complete with media, contracts, jerseys and getting their first team photo. Check out the photos below from this year’s signing event, hosted by Mike “Sarge” Reilly.
