Revolution injury update: Jacob Jackson undergoes successful knee surgery
FOXBOROUGH, Mass. – New England Revolution goalkeeper Jacob Jackson underwent successful surgery to repair his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) on Tuesday, August 2.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Scott Martin at Massachusetts General Hospital. Jackson’s rehabilitation is expected to take approximately nine months and will be completed under the direction of the Revolution Sports Medicine department and Director of Sports Medicine Eric Bengtson.
In his first professional season, Jackson posted five clean sheets in 14 starts with Revolution II in MLS NEXT Pro prior to the injury. The Loyola Marymount alum and San Diego, Calif. native has also made the MLS matchday roster on four occasions.
The Revolution resume the 2022 MLS season on Saturday, August 6 at Orlando City SC. The 7:30 p.m. ET match airs locally on WSBK-TV38, myRITV, 98.5 The Sports Hub, and 1260 AM Nossa Radio (Portuguese).
