Stephon Gilmore makes his Super Bowl pick

For the first time in four years, it’s actually a question who the Patriots players think will win the Super Bowl. There’s still a week and a half for predictions to roll in, but Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore gave his take to reporters at Wednesday afternoon’s Pro Bowl practice, and he’s going with the Kansas City Chiefs. What has Gilmore siding with arguably the Patriots biggest rival in the AFC? The quarterback.
“Mahomes is tough to go against” Gilmore told ESPN’s Dianna Russini. “He’s the toughest guy I’ve played against…besides Tom (Brady).”
Gilmore on SB: “I think Kansas City wins. I just feel like they have a lot of weapons. Mahomes is the---he's tough to go against. I played against him a lot of times, and he's the toughest guy I've played against since I've been playing---besides Tom, but he's great. #patriots

In their matchup this season, Mahomes targeted Gilmore six times, completing just two passes for 13 yards. Gilmore may have won the battle, but Mahomes had the last laugh, as KC won the game 23-16.
2019 marked Gilmore’s third Pro Bowl selection and second straight, although he didn’t play in the game last year due to the Patriots playing in the Super Bowl.
