New England Patriots

The Jets announced Tuesday that backup quarterback Trevor Siemian is done for the season with an ankle injury, meaning third-string QB Luke Falk will start against the Patriots in Foxboro on Sunday.

Siemian went down with a nasty looking injury in Monday night’s loss to the Browns. His ankle is not broken but did suffer ligament damage.

Falk will start under center with Sam Darnold battling mono. Darnold has returned to the Jets facility, but does not appear ready to play for the time being.

Falk, like Tom Brady, was the 199th pick in the draft. He went 20-for-25 for 198 yards against the Browns on Monday.
