Patriots WR N’Keal Harry, TE Matt LaCosse leave preseason debut after apparent injuries

N’Keal Harry’s preseason debut was short-lived. The Patriots’ first-round rookie wide receiver made a couple of impressive catches on Thursday night against the Lions, but unfortunately had to exit the game with an apparent injury.
Harry came up limping after making his second catch of the game in the first quarter. After getting checked out in the blue medical tent, Harry returned to the sidelines but did not play another snap in the first half.
It’s possible Harry aggravated an apparent hamstring injury suffered during the Patriots’ joint practice with the Lions earlier this week. The rookie out of Arizona State made two impressive back-shoulder catches of 11 and 25 yards prior to the injury.
Tight end Matt LaCosse also appears to be dealing with an injury after going down and appearing to be in considerable pain. He walked off the field under his own power, but eventually left the field early for the locker room.
Neither Harry nor LaCosse have officially been ruled out of the game. But it’ll be stunning if either of them return. The Patriots led the Lions 20-0 at halftime.
