Tom vs Time Episode 5: Brady Wants To Win At Least Two More Super Bowls Before Retiring
Tom vs Time episode 5 is now available online. You can watch Chapter V: The Spiritual Game above.
Starting off with a surfing (and football) excursion in Costa Rica, the episode focuses on Tom Brady’s future and long-term outlook on life. While Brady is looking forward to the time he’s done with football and his time frees up significantly to support his family more, he’s still not thinking about the end of football.
Gisele Bundchen says that Brady originally told her in 2006 that he would be happy to play 10 more years and win one more Super Bowl. He’s already surpassed both. Now, he would like to win two more Super Bowls on top of the five he’s already won. He could get that started on Sunday in Super Bowl LII against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The episode shifts to more clips from the 2017 regular season – featuring clips from 98.5 The Sports Hub’s Felger & Mazz talking about Brady’s level of play in the second half of the regular season, which was certainly shaky at times.
The later parts of the episode feature more training and treatment with the 2017 NFL MVP and trainer Alex Guerrero. It concludes with the Patriots’ final game of the regular season, followed by a post-game conversation with Gisele in the car.
The sixth and final episode will air at a yet-to-be-announced date after the Super Bowl.
All in all, Brady hasn’t exactly set himself up for embarrassment if the Patriots don’t win the Super Bowl. But he’s obviously comfortable putting this kind of pressure on himself. It will be interesting to see what Brady and Gotham Chopra come up with in the post-Super Bowl episode.
