Belichick Has Hilarious Response To Bad Question From German Reporter
Bill Belichick will rarely give any kind of information on the Patriots’ football operation, let alone literal game plan information. And a hapless reporter from Germany just learned that the hard way.
In a rare display of the biting humor that Belichick can spring on you at times, the Patriots head coach couldn’t help but chuckle at a question from a German reporter about Patrick Chung. Specifically, the reporter asked how Belichick planned to use the safety in coverage against Eagles tight end Zach Ertz.
Yeah. That’s a no-no. And Belichick may have let him off a little easy, considering how he’d usually respond to a question like that.
“Yeah … I don’t think we’ll really gonna be getting into our game plans and all that. We’ll see how it goes. Next,” Belichick deadpanned to laughter among the rest of the media in the room.
He followed that up with a perfectly Belichickian quip: “That’s the first time I’ve been asked a question by a German reporter that wasn’t about Sebastian Vollmer.”
Well at least the reporter can use that quote for his story.
