Friday the 13th movies in order according to their rankings on Rotten Tomatoes. Before we give you the rankings, let’s dive into the history behind one of the most iconic movie franchises.

The first Friday the 13th debuted in 1980. Fun fact, it starred the one and only Kevin Bacon. The franchise centered around its killer, Jason Voorhees, who was thought to have drowned as a boy at Camp Crystal Lake due to the negligence of the camp staff. Now, he was NOT the killer in the first movie. It was his mother who came back to Camp Crystal Lake to get revenge on the counselors who she says should have been watching her son as he drowned in the lake. The films have grossed over $468 million at the box-office worldwide. Friday the 13th was the highest grossing horror franchise until Halloween came around. The franchise was turned into a TV series that didn’t necessarily focus on Jason, more so on curses and bad luck.

Now while you’re celebrating today, Friday the 13th, why not have a movie marathon and watch the entire 13 movie franchise. If you do, make sure you do it in THIS order.
