Jayson Tatum rebounded well from an invisible Game 2 to take over late in Game 3, sinking two big shots within the final three minutes to keep the Philadelphia 76ers at bay and icing a 114-102 win for the Boston Celtics. Tatumβs team-high scoring and late-game efforts earned him the 98.5 The Sports Hub Player of the Game distinction for the win.
Tatum also paced the Celtics to start the game, with 10 first-quarter points to power the team to a big early lead. A cold streak allowed the 76ers to get back in the game late in the first quarter. But after Jaylen Brown elevated in the middle two quarters, Tatum picked his game back up in the fourth to hold off any chance of a 76ers comeback.
For Tatum, it was a strong bounce-back effort from just seven points in Game 2, his first single-digit scoring performance in 35 playoff games. He and the Cβs will look to extend their lead to 3-1 in Game 4 on Sunday afternoon, with tipoff set for 3:30 p.m. ET.
