  • The sight of Patriots center David Andrew making his way off the field — and with the help of Patriots personnel — in Sunday’s 10-3 win over the Jets was enough to leave you concerned. Same with the look on his face as he made his way down the stairs and back towards the Patriots’ locker room.

And it doesn’t sound like those concerns are going to go away anytime soon, as there’s a fear that the 30-year-old Andrews has suffered a serious thigh injury that could end his season, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport.

  • Injured in the first quarter, and on a third-down screen pass that saw Andrews out as the lead blocker for Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson, the injury appeared to occur after Andrews was wiped out from behind, and its impact was immediately noticed as Andrews struggled to get back to his feet.

The injury initially came with a ‘questionable to return’ designation, but Andrews was downgraded to ‘out’ as the teams came back onto the field for the start of the second half.

  • With Andrews out, James Ferentz stepped back into the center role for the Patriots.

The injury made No. 60’s return to the middle of the New England offensive line a short one, as Sunday was Andrews’ first game back in action after missing the previous two due to a concussion sustained in the team’s Oct. 24 loss to the Bears.

Andrews wasn’t even the only Patriot lineman lost to injury in this contest, either, as the team also lost Isaiah Wynn to a foot injury in the first half of the win.

The Patriots, 6-4 on the season following Sunday’s win, will get back to work Thursday night in Minnesota for a Thanksgiving night showdown.
