  • The Patriots injury report continues to grow as they get ready to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. Starting tackle Trent Brown was added to the report as limited with an ankle injury. While Brown does appear to be dealing with an injury, he’s still expected to play on Sunday according to NBC Sports Boston’s Phil Perry.

As expected, quarterback Mac Jones was downgraded from being limited on Wednesday with a back injury to a non-participant on Thursday, now dealing with a back injury and an illness. That illness was reported as an ‘upset stomach’ by Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

  • There was good news for the Patriots too. Linebacker Ja’Whaun Bentley was upgraded from a non-participant on Wednesday to limited on Thursday. Bentley is dealing with a toe injury.

Beyond those moves, the rest of the injury report remains the same for the Patriots. running back Pierre Strong (shoulder), cornerback Shaun Wade (ankle), and safeties Adrian Phillips (ribs) and Joshuah Bledsoe (groin) were all limited for the second day in a row.

The Steelers got some good news on Thursday as well. Running back Najee Harris (foot) and cornerback Levi Wallace (ankle) were upgraded from limited participants to full. Defensive tackle Cameron Heyward (veteran rest day) was added to the injury report after not being listed on Wednesday.
