The New England Patriots made their first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft late Thursday night. Before that, they made day 2 a little busier for themselves by accumulating an extra pick in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.
As it stands entering Friday night, which will feature rounds 2 and 3 of the 2022 draft, the Patriots next pick at No. 54. But don’t be surprised if they trade up, which is what they did last year when they moved from 45 to 38 to select DT Christian Barmore. The Pats also hold two third-round picks in their current arsenal.
Here’s the full list of 2022 Patriots draft picks at the moment:
1st Round, No. 29: Cole Strange, OL, Tennessee-Chattanooga
2nd Round, No. 50: Tyquan Thornton, WR, Baylor
3rd Round, No. 85: Marcus Jones, CB, Houston
4th Round, No. 121
4th Round, No. 127
6th Round (via Texans), No. 183
6th Round, No. 200
6th Round, No. 210
7th Round (via Texans), No. 245
Considering the high volume of selections still waiting in New England, there’s bound to be a lot of activity from Bill Belichick on Friday and Saturday, whether he makes the picks or trades around the board.
