The New England Patriots are 3-4 on the season after the Chicago Bears dismantled them in all three phases of the game en route to a 33-14 win at Gillette Stadium. Scroll down for the top highlights from the game. (Hint: mostly Bears highlights.)
Bears Score Another TD, Go Up 19
The Bears are pulling off an upset for the ages. They are now up three possessions on the Patriots after scoring another touchdown, this time a goal line run by David Montgomery.
Chicago started with good field position thanks to a bad punt by Jake Bailey, and went 61 yards in eight plays for the score. Other than Bailey Zappe’s two touchdown drives, just about nothing has gone right for the Patriots tonight. We’re at the point that, especially considering how they’ve played tonight, they need a miracle.
David Montgomery powers it in to extend the @ChicagoBears' lead. #DaBears

Bailey Zappe took a sack from Roquan Smith on third down and the Patriots were forced to punt. The defense hasn’t had a great night so far. It may be on them to make a big play to turn the momentum of this game back in their favor.

The Patriots were able to get a third-down stop on Justin Fields, but the Bears moved the ball enough to cash in another Cairo Santos field goal. It’s now 23-14 Bears.
Bears Score Another TD, Retake Lead
Do we actually have a shootout on our hands? Justin Fields just threw his first touchdown pass of the game, a screen to Khalil Herbert. The back had a wide open field after the catch and an easy score.
Fields took a ferocious hit sandwich from Matthew Judon and Deatrich Wise just after he got the throw off. Impressive play by the Bears, who have played well offensively so far.
Khalil Herbert to the house untouched! @JuiceHerbert

Just like that, the Patriots have the lead. Bailey Zappe started off his second drive by completing a 43-yard bomb to DeVante Parker, then Rhamondre Stevenson did the rest with two carries, the second for the touchdown. It’s now 14-10 Patriots.

Aaaaand the Patriots are cookin’. Matt Judon tipped Justin Fields’ pass into the air, and Myles Bryant came down with it for the interception. Bailey Zappe and the Patriots will take over at midfield.
Intercepted by Myles Bryant! @Patriots have all the momentum. 👀

First, he hits a wide-open Rhamondre Stevenson on a swing pass for 20 yards, then Jakobi Meyers for a 30-yard touchdown. Meyers made a great play to leap and catch the ball, then get back up and get into the end zone before he got touched. As you might expect, the crowd is loving it.
It’s now 10-7 Bears.
Bears Score Touchdown Off Impressive Drive
Facing a third-and-6, Justin Fields completed a 19-yard pass to Darnell Mooney. The next play was a 14-yarder to former Patriot N’Keal Harry. Three plays later, Fields was in the end zone for a touchdown run. It’s now 10-0 Bears.
Six points for @justnfields 🕺

Bears Score First
The Bears have taken the first lead of the game after a couple of chunk plays got them into field goal range. Justin Fields completed a 20-yard pass to Darnell Mooney and an 11-yarder to Equanimeous St. Brown on consecutive plays to set up kicker Cairo Santos. He’s good from 42 yards. It’s now 3-0 Bears.

— New England Patriots (@Patriots) October 24, 2022Defensive tackle Christian Barmore (knee) is a notable name among the inactive players for the Patriots on Monday night. Receiver Kendrick Bourne (turf toe) and tackle Isaiah Wynn (shoulder) are also out for the game. Linebacker Josh Uche (hamstring) was a late addition to the injury report.
Meanwhile, defensive tackle Lawrence Guy is active for the first time since Week 3. That’s a big return for a defensive line that’s stepped up without him in recent weeks.
