Earlier today it was reported that Jakobi Meyers has agreed to a 3-year deal worth $33 million to join the Las Vegas Raiders. On Tuesday’s Felger and Mazz, J-Stew’s phone gave some details on what the New England Patriots offered to Meyers to stay with the team.

  • What was the Patriots offer to Meyers?

Felger: Yes, Stew? He’s looking at hisphone.

J-Stew: If the Patriots offered Jakobi Meyers 2-years and $12 million, would that be a fair offer or would that be a lowball offer?

    Mazz: $12 million total?

    J-Stew: Yeah, 2-years. 12 million.

    Felger: That’s a joke.

Mazz: That is an “FU” is what that is. A middle finger.

J-Stew: I believe they wouldn’t have even gone to three years. And by the way, I also believe that Jakobi Meyers would have taken 3-years and 27 million from New England with $9 million guaranteed. That’s what I believe.

Felger: And they only offered him 2 at $12 million?

    J-Stew: 2 at $12 million.

    Mazz: I mean, that’s a joke.

Felger: It’s sort of one of those offers the Red Sox specialize in. And again, not to cross sports, but why do you even bother making that?

Mazz: To piss the guy off and give him the finger.

Felger: 2 at $12 million. That was the offer?

    J-Stew: That’s what I believe.

    Felger: Wow.

    Mazz: That’s a joke.

J-Stew: Nice football team you got there Murray!

Mazz: He made about $4 million last year, so they gave him a $2 million raise and gave him two years. “FU”.

Felger: I mean, again, I think it’s a bigger “FU” to Mac Jones.
