We may be only one game into Week 15 of the NFL season, but we likely already have our surprise performance of the week. That belongs to the Las Vegas Raiders, who scored nine touchdowns in a 63-21 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Thursday night.
What made the performance such a surprise wasn’t just the total number of points, but the context of that number with the Raiders’ recent performances. Las Vegas was shut out last week and managed just 202 total yards of offense in that game. The Raiders hadn’t scored more than 17 points in a game since the first week of November.

That last 30-point performance came in the first game after the Raiders fired head coach Josh McDaniels and GM Dave Ziegler – both former Patriots. While those two may be gone, their fingerprints remain on the roster in the multiple former Patriots on the Raiders’ roster.
