Boston Bruins release 2021-2022 regular season schedule
Ahead of the league-wide announcement Thursday night, the Boston Bruins released their 2021-2022 schedule on their website.
The Bruins will open the season at home against the Dallas Stars on Saturday, October 16. They’ll then play four of their next five on the road, including the first half of a home-and-home against the Florida Panthers.
For their first scheduled trip to Canada since before the pandemic, the Bruins will head to Toronto and play the Maple Leafs. That game is set for Saturday, November 6. It’s their only game north of the border for the first two months of the season.
After a year off, the Bruins-Canadiens rivalry resumes Sunday, November 14 when the Habs visit Boston. The B’s will visit Montreal on December 18 and January 12, with the Stanley Cup runner-ups returning to TD Garden on March 21.
On Saturday, December 4, the Bruins will host the defending Stanley Cup champion Tampa Bay Lightning. It will be the first meeting between the two teams since Tampa knocked the Bruins out of the playoffs in the NHL’s bubble in 2020. The teams will also play on January 8 (in Tampa), March 24 (in Boston), and April 8 (in Tampa).
