Patriots center and former Georgia lineman David Andrews took to Twitter on Thursday to congratulate his new teammate and fellow Bulldog Isaiah Wynn.
The Pats selected Wynn with the 23rd overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft in Arlington, Texas, marking the first time they drafted an offensive lineman in the first round since Nate Solder in 2011. And as the Bulldogs’ All-SEC left tackle in 2017, he should have a chance to replace the departed Solder as soon as his rookie year.
Soon after the Patriots announced Wynn as their guy, Andrews tweeted his congratulations – and also let Wynn know the rookie needs to pick up the tab next time they go out. Wynn eventually responded in kind.
Preciate it Boss! And you already know!

The Pats also took Wynn’s teammate from Georgia, running back Sony Michel, with their second pick at 31st overall. So it appears that Belichick may have found a new favorite pipeline for talent.
