Felger: What’s the latest on Pastrnak?
Ty Anderson: They’re talking everyday. My sense is that…
Felger: Everyday?
Ty Anderson: They want to get this done.
Felger: Wow. Everyday? That would get annoying. Everyday and have no deal?
Ty Anderson: It’s like a hard contract to hammer down.
Felger: Now, what do we talk about?
Ty Anderson: So I would say that I believe they want to get this done before they make their deadline plans. Because if you have him with a number to his name, it’s much easier to say, “okay, we can fit Bo Horvat or whoever in at this number”, or “we can acquire this guy if he has term at this number”. It’s hard to do that right now if you don’t have a number to his name.
Felger: What’s the deadline again?
Ty Anderson: March 4th, I believe?
Felger: March 3rd, March 3rd. So we got some runway there with Pastrnak still.
Ty Anderson: Yeah, I think that’s done. I think that when you talk this much and when guys like Elliotte Friedman are picking up some sense, it’s getting close. And this is kind of how J.P. Barry’s negotiations have gone. I’ve said before, he was the agent for Filip Forsberg, that one went to April or May. So I would say that, you know, that they are….it’s going to get done. It’s just a matter of, you know, listen, if he makes less than 12 million…win.
Felger: Win.
Ty Anderson: Win and a half.
Felger: Hundred percent agree with that.
