Toucher & Hardy

During this morning’s Toucher & Rich radio program, Mike Gorman thinks the Celtics will win the series after seeing last night’s 110-98 Celtics win. Gorman believes Miami might have a chance for a big effort at home with the support of the crowd but emphasizes that they can’t afford a performance like in Game 5.

  • Gorman then praises the Celtics’ ball distribution in the previous game, highlighting the high scoring contributions from multiple players such as Brown, White, Smart, and Tatum. He notes that when a team spreads the ball around and has several players scoring in double figures, it’s difficult to beat them. Additionally, Gorman mentions that the team played unselfishly and shot the ball well.

Wallach: Mike, are you a believer? Did they win this series?

Gorman: I think they do. I do. I think Miami is out of gas. Now maybe they can have a big effort at home and the crowd will carry them a little, but they can’t afford anything like last night. I thought Kyle Lowry was a guy I thought could have a big game.

It’s really simple. I mean, you spread the ball around like they did last night. They get 21 from Brown, 23 or 24 rather than White, 23 from Smart, and 21 from Tatum. You’re not going to beat a team that does that as well in double figures like that. They were very unselfish last night. Everybody shot the ball pretty well.
