  From my favorite album of the year, this is what happens when an absolute shredder fronts an Americana band and shreds.

• 2.) “Kroterveg Te Helvete” by Kvelertak

   

   

  These are some angry Norwegians. I have no idea what they are saying, but it’s loud and this guy’s voice crushes.

• 3). “Underwater” by Rufus Du Sol

   

   

  These guys are playing two shows at MGM this week and I like them so much that I’m going by myself. Who am I kidding- I go to a lot of concerts by myself. 

• 4) “Goon” by Thee Oh Sees, Osees

   

   

  I have no idea why I like this song but I may have listened to it 50 times in the past week. Two minutes of pure earworm. And oh my word I just saw the video, and that my friend you’re gonna have to search for on your own. 

• 5) “Ghost Ship” by Cory Hanson

   

   

  Sure I put two songs by the same guy on this list, I told you it was my favorite album of the year. A Tom Petty “Wildflowers” era throwback. And that dueling guitar outro- chef’s kiss.
