During last week’s Toucher & Hardy show, Fred discussed the new intro for the recently launched program. While Wallach initially thought the intro was good, both Hardy and Wallach agreed that it needs to be changed. Fred suggested a democratic approach to selecting a new intro by having John, Dan, Mike, and Nick each pick an instrumental song or loop. Hardy’s idea, the current intro, will also be kept in the mix.
CURRENT SHOW INTRO: ‘Night Boat to Cairo’ by Madness
The plan was to play one song a day, preview each, and let the audience on Twitter (or X, as it’s called) pick the new intro. Fred seems open to the idea and mentioned he might join in if he feels the efforts are less than stellar.
Last month, Rob “Hardy” Poole, previously on “Zolak and Bertrand,” announced as the new co-host on the morning show, officially named ‘Toucher & Hardy’. This announcement followed Rich departure from the show in early November.
FORMER SHOW INTRO: ‘Honey Bucket’ by the Melvins
‘Honey Bucket’ by the Melvins was the former intro for Toucher & Rich but has been retired out of respect for the former show. Now the search is on for a new intro that matches the same level as ‘Honey Bucket.’
