It’s been a week since Chaim Bloom and the Red Sox designated veteran reliever Ryan Brasier for assignment.
And while the decision to ‘DFA’ the 35-year-old felt like a one that was at least a year in the making based on performance alone, the team and Brasier have officially cut ties, with the righty officially released on Sunday, according to the team.
