I’ve given my list of NHL jerseys that need to make a comeback, now it’s time for the jerseys that I never want to see again!
The Canadiens wore these jerseys a couple times during a stretch from 2008-2010 during their centennial celebrations and goodness were they hideous. I got a headache watching them on TV when they played the Bruins. Never bring these things back.
BUFFALO SABRES “BUFFASLUG”

These were the Sabres primary uniforms from 2006-2010 and were quickly abandoned because they were awful. Why did the Buffalo have no legs? Thank goodness they got rid of these quickly.
BUFFALO SABRES ALTERNATES 2013-15

Sticking with the Sabres…..wow this was ugly! The design was just terrible and the mix of primarily yellow on the front and blue on the back was so dumb.
DALLAS STARS “TAURUS” JERSEY
DALLAS – JANUARY 10: Jere Lehtinen #26 and Pierre Turgeon #77 of the Dallas Stars skate for the puck against the Colorado Avalanche at the American Airlines Center on January 10, 2003 in Dallas, Texas. Colorado defeated Dallas 4-2. (Photo by Ronald Martinez/Getty Images)
I get what the Stars were trying to do with this jersey but it just looked awful.
ANAHEIM MIGHTY DUCKS ALTERNATE 2003-06
ANAHEIM, CA – JANUARY 7: Defensemen Kurt Sauer #34 of the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim is blocked by Derek Armstrong #7 of the Los Angeles Kings on January 7, 2003 at The Pond of Anaheim in Anaheim, California. The Kings and the Ducks skated to a 4-4 tie. (Photo by Doug Benc/Getty Images)
The Mighty Ducks had some great jerseys but this wasn’t one of them. It honestly looks like someone threw a design together last second and the team decided to go with it.
ST. LOUIS BLUES REVERSE RETRO 2022-23
In 1966, original coach/GM Lynn Patrick designed a prototype logo for the #stlblues, only to see it replaced before Opening Night. Fifty-six years later, the Hall of Famer's creation will finally be worn in an NHL game as the Blues debut their Reverse Retro uniforms tonight.
— Bally Sports Midwest (@BallySportsMW) November 17, 2022I don’t even understand what this was throwing back to. I hate the yellow as the primary color and the blue stripes with it. I hope they never wear these again.

I have no idea what this jersey even was. I hope I never see it again.
TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING ALTERNATES 1996-99

These are just a terrible look. There is way too much going on. There’s rain, lightning, waves, everything happening. They brought back the look for a reverse retro this season, but should never bring it back again.
2020 STADIUM SERIES – COLORADO AVALANCHE & LOS ANGELES KINGS
Looks like the @LAKings 2020 #NHL #StadiumSeries jersey is the latest to leak! Definitely in the same vein as what we saw from the Avalanche last week.
