  • Bill Belichick to Denver? Or Carolina?

The Broncos are expected to be aggressive in pursuing a top candidate for head coach, and Colin Cowherd believes Denver might be able to land Bill Belichick if they write the Patriots head coach a blank check.

  • Albert Breer from the MMQB joined Toucher and Rich this morning and was asked whether there’s an amount of money that a team, like Denver or Carolina, could offer Belichick to coach their team next season.

  • LISTEN HERE:

  • Albert Breer: The only way I could see Bill not being the coach in 2023 here is if Robert Kraft delivers an ultimatum to him and he takes the ultimatum the wrong way. .

There’s three conclusions here: Either 1.) Bill makes changes on his own. 2.) Bill listens to Robert Kraft’s criticisms of where they are and they work together to find a solution. Or 3.) Robert Kraft delivers an ultimatum. Bill doesn’t like it and Bill walks.

That’s very much who Belichick’s been like. ‘Let me do the job on my terms.’ And they’ve afforded him that forever. The only way I can see where he’s not the coach here anymore, and this could push him out the door is having opportunity somewhere else, is if for any reason Robert Kraft wants change but Bill wants to hang on to the current setup or he thinks progress has been made with the current setup. That’s the one scenario.
