    Felger: Tier one please.

Mazz: Tier one remain three teams. Kansas City, Philadelphia, Dallas. They stay in tier one. They stay there alone.

    Felger: Second tier, please.

Mazz: Okay. The teams that I think we have to consider, and I had them in tier one momentarily, but, you know, Minnesota’s in the conversation. I wouldn’t put them at the top of the list. Certainly Buffalo’s in the conversation. I wouldn’t put them at the top of the list.

Felger: But these are tier two?

Mazz: Yes, they are tier two, but they are sniffing it. The team I would really start to take seriously in it for tier one candidacy…

Felger: The team that’s really sticking their shots up their way up there.

Mazz: Yep. Cincinnati Bengals. They’re at home this week against the Chiefs. A rematch of that was the AFC title game.

    Jim Murray: Yeah, it was.

Mazz: So important game for both teams. Kansas City’s got something to prove. That’s the game of the week. And also two other teams going head to head from tier two this week, Miami and San Francisco. Out in San Francisco, another great game.

    Felger: Tier three please.

Mazz: The Chargers, certainly. Seattle’s in that middle group. The Giants are in a slump. I keep dumping on Washington every week, but the Commanders. JETS jets, jets, jets.

Felger: Tier four please, do they remain there Mazz?

Mazz: Yes, they remain in tier four even with the loss of the Vikings, it was not a horrible, ugly defeat. I mean, they failed at the end of the game, but they represented themselves as a functional franchise. Atlanta’s still in Tier four they lost at Washington last week, but they’re not one of the real dregs. Tampa has dropped down into tier four, rightfully after that loss to Cleveland last week. I told you much of the movement in the tiers this week was downward. Tampa was one of them and the only team, I think, that moved up in the tiers among all 32 Jacksonville.

    Felger: Tier five please.

Mazz: Okay, Indy, Green Bay, Arizona, the Rams, they blow.

Jim Murray: They started tier one.

Mazz: Seriously. Saints tier five. They stuck too. Vegas, two wins in overtime in the final play the game the last two weeks but they still suck. Pittsburgh keep an eye on them they may be out of there soon, Steelers are starting to play a little bit better.

    Felger: Yeah, they usually do.

Mazz: And you know what? Mike Tomlin might still be able to salvage a winning season.

    Felger: Usually does.

Mazz: Carolina still in tier five. I don’t care if they won last week or not. They blow. Houston sucks. Chicago didn’t have Justin Fields last week but they lost. Lions still in tier five, although they’re playing better of late. Cleveland tier five. Deshaun Watson back this week at Houston and Denver tier five. The Broncos smell.
