Felger: Let’s go, Mazz.
Mazz: Okay, tier one. We’ve had a change in tier one.
Jim Murray: Oh, change in tiers. Tiers. Tiers.
Mazz: Okay. Last week, the Bills, the Bucs and the Chiefs were all in tier one. They remain there.
Felger: I’m sorry. So now don’t confuse me. Just give me this week.
Mazz: Okay…Bills, Tampa. Kansas City. The Chargers.
Felger and Murray: Oh.
Felger: So who did you have there in fourth? I’m sorry.
Mazz: Rams were there. The Rams are out.
Jim Murray: So there’s still L.A. tiers, but different kind of L.A. tiers.
Mazz: Yeah, you can only have one L.A. team at a time in the top tier.
Felger: Chargers already? Just like that. Top tier?
Mazz: Chargers are good. I’ll tell you what I didn’t realize some of the additions they made on defense and shame on me, I don’t know how somehow this slipped through the cracks. Do you know they have Khalil Mack? I missed that somehow.
Jim Murray: And some people think he’s washed up. I think he had three sacks last week.
Felger: Tier two.
Mazz: Tier two…Green Bay.
Felger: Still?
Mazz: Yup. Rams. Broncos. Raiders. Bengals. Ravens. And moving up from tier three, Minnesota Vikings.
Felger: Mm. Discuss.
Mazz: Okay. So look, I can’t dump the Packers all the way down to tier three based on one loss. I can’t do it. I can’t do it to Denver either or the Bengals, for that matter. I believe in those teams. Those are good teams. They had bad starts.
Felger: Tier three.
Mazz: Tier three. Miami. Pittsburgh. Philly. Tennessee. Indy. The Niners. The Cardinals. And moving down into tier three, Dallas. I had Dallas in tier two. Dallas is now in tier three. That team’s in trouble. They look like garbage. They lost a quarterback. Sinking like a stone. They get their ass kicked this week, I might have them in tier four.
Felger: Tier four, please.
Mazz: Tier four. Patriots. Saints. Giants. Cleveland Browns. And up from tier five, the Seahawks. Seattle look legit to me last week. And I say legit, like the defense, they played hard. Now they lost Jamal Adams, that’s a big blow. Geno Smith wasn’t a complete incompetent out there. Looked like a team that played hard, again, had some, you know, there is some talent on the offense. They got some players on the offense. Pete’s good at scheming defense. I thought they were going to be one of the worst teams in the league, I think you may have underestimated their ability. You know, they might be respectable-ish. 7-10, you know, 8-9 somewhere in that area. I thought they were going to be like five and 12. I thought they were going to be complete garbage.
Felger: Tier five, please.
Mazz: Okay. The dregs of the league, the absolute garbage. Panthers who’ve moved down from tier four. I had them a little higher, they got beat by Cleveland at home. Baker Mayfield still looks like a sick bag, so I took them out. They’re down to tier five. Falcons. Lions.
Jim Murray: Oh, Mazz.
Mazz: Jets. Jags. Let me finish the tier Murray. Texans. Commanders. Bears.
Jim Murray: I hate these tiers…tiers….
