  • A Monday trip to Toronto came with the 20th win of the season for the Boston Celtics, as the Celtics pushed their win streak to two and downed the hometown Raptors by a 116-110 final at Scotiabank Arena.

Oh, and Jayson Tatum deciding to put the Raptors’ Thaddeus Young on a poster with a slam that should create a potentially iconic photo Tatum will sign at least 1,000 times if the autograph seekers of America are smart.

  • I mean, just look at that.

It was just two of Tatum’s team-leading 31 points in what was yet another standout performance from the early-season MVP favorite — Tatum went 11-for-24 from the floor, and knocked down five of his 10 tries from three-point range in the winning effort — but came with some undeniable style point for No. 0.

  • Down by six at halftime (and down by 10 points at their lowest point in the first half), the Celtics blitzed the Raptors with a third-quarter that saw the C’s outscore Toronto by a 35-18 mark. That 17-point differential was all Tatum, too, as he played the entire quarter and tallied 17 points on a 6-for-9 shooting.

Marcus Smart joined Tatum with a start-to-finish third-quarter performance of his own, and was second to Tatum’s 17 points in the frame, with eight points on 3-for-4 shooting.

  • Jaylen Brown was Boston’s second-highest scorer behind Tatum, with 22 points on 9-for-22 shooting, while Smart finished Monday’s game with 18 points on 7-for-14 shooting (4-for-8 from deep).

The Celtics played this contest without Al Horford (back) and Malcolm Brogdon (illness), and improved to 5-0 on the second leg of back-to-back games this season.

Joe Mazzulla’s squad will get back to work Wednesday night in Phoenix.
