Based on the early rounds of voting, the Red Sox probably won’t have three players representing them in the MLB All-Star Game next month. Meanwhile, their farm system will be well represented in Seattle.

On Monday, Major League Baseball announced the rosters for this year’s Futures Game, which is a game featuring the best prospects from all levels of Minor League Baseball. The game is played the Saturday of All-Star Weekend at the same stadium at the All-Star Game, which this year is in Seattle.

• Three Red Sox players are included on the American League roster. They are infielders Marcelo Mayer and Nick York, and pitcher Shane Drohan.

  Mayer headlines the group after being drafted fourth overall by the team in 2021 – which is tied for the highest draft selection in team history. Mayer began the year in High-A Greenville, where he hit .290 with seven home runs and 34 RBIs in 35 games. He was elevated to Double-A Portland at the start of the month.

  York was Boston’s first round pick the year before Mayer, taken 17th overall in 2020. He’s spent the entire season with Double-A Portland, where he’s slashing .286/.377/.475.

• Drohan was also a 2020 draft pick, taken in the fifth round by the Red Sox out of Florida State. He’s split the 2023 season nearly evenly between Double-A Portland and Triple-AAA Worcester. In 14 total starts, he’s 7-2 with a 3.31 ERA and 69 strikeouts in 73.1 innings.

  This is the first time the Red Sox have had multiple players in the Futures Game since 2016. That year Yoan Moncada and Andrew Benintendi represented the team, with Moncada winning Game MVP. Last year, the Red Sox were represented by Jeter Downs.
