Bruins’ Coyle, McAvoy, Grzelcyk to participate in ‘Hold The Line’ charity hockey game in Weymouth
By Mike “Sarge” Riley, 98.5 The Sports Hub
Following a successful inaugural event, the Hold the Line charity hockey game returns on Thursday to honor the memory of Weymouth police sergeant Michael Chesna and Weymouth resident Vera Adams. Both were tragically killed on July 15, 2018.
Last August, the Hold the Line game raised money for a youth police academy in honor of Sgt. Chesna and they also purchased all Weymouth elementary school summer reading books in memory of Vera Adams.
Some members of the Bruins will be lacing up their skates in the game, including Weymouth native Charlie Coyle. Joining him will be Charlie McAvoy and Matt Grzelcyk, along with rosters comprised of 12 different police departments throughout Massachusetts.
Nik Tasiopoulos, the President of the Hold the Line Foundation, joined 98.5 The Sports Hub last week to talk about the event.
