The Hero’s Cup is a foundation dedicated to serving the health and wellness needs of those who serve our communities: the first responders.
Through sporting events and social gatherings, The Hero’s Cup works to raise awareness and funds for firefighters, police, military and EMS workers and the charities they support. The individuals within these professions put their lives and health at risk daily, and the Hero’s Cup was created, in turn, to offer some protection and support to them and their families. The Hero’s Cup is also dedicated to supporting key areas that impact first responders, including cancer detection and prevention, mental health, and line of duty death support.
Heroes Cup Hockey Tournament
The BFit Heroes Cup is a weekend long event designed to bring Firefighters, police officers, EMS, and military members together in a fun weekend to raise money and awareness for multiple charities.
Each team plays for the charity of their choice with a cash prize going to the winning teams charity of each division! 110 teams – across 11 divisions.
“All of our local unions are very active in the communities they serve and often have specific charities that they work with. And that is why the Heroes Cup Foundation is such a success; the teams get to choose their own charities to play for while still being part of a larger event. Firefighters love hockey and playing for a cause so we knew there would be interest from our members but the response since its inception has been incredible. I can’t wait to see where the Heroes Cup goes in the future, and more importantly, the lives they touch through the charities they support.” Rich MacKinnon, President, Professional Fire Fighters of MABFIT
All events take place at New England Sports Center in Marlborough, MA.
