With apologies to those who are, once again, wrong about the Boston Bruins … the Sports Hub Underground podcast regrets to inform you that they are, in fact, still good.
I say that because there are still plenty of those out there, especially on Twitter/X/wherever people go to complain on the internet these days, who just want to bitch & moan about their “favorite hockey team.” Every year the Bruins are doubted, and every year they prove people wrong.
“Ummm, they didn’t win the Stanley Cup!” Yeah, so did 30 other teams. “They’re not gonna win it this year, either!” Congratulations, you have a 97 percent chance of being right about that. “Don’t care, talk to me in April.” OK, you want me to come disconnect your TV now or tomorrow? I’ll make sure to come back and reconnect it when the playoffs start.
Anyway, rant over … the Bruins are 6-0-0 and on the verge of setting another franchise record, if they can win their seventh game in a row to start the season. And yes, the B’s have benefitted from a very easy schedule, but they did take care of business and beat teams they’re supposed to beat. One can imagine the pants-pissing if they went 3-3 or worse in these first six games.
In any event, Ty Anderson and I talked plenty of Bruins in the latest episode of the Sports Hub Underground. Have a listen in the player at the top. Click here to get every episode at 985TheSportsHub.com. And stay to the end for a Halloween-themed “Big 3” candy draft, which we also did last year, but might as well make it an annual thing.
Listen and enjoy! Or complain. Whatever you want, friend.
