Does your teenager need to get out of the house and maybe earn a little money this summer? New England has two of the Best Places for Summer Jobs in 2022, according to a new study.

Summer time is a great time to earn extra spending money or work experience for some people, especially young adults.

Since most states have removed their COVID-19 restrictions, and vaccines and booster doses are still being distributed, people can find summer jobs in industries like dining, entertainment, and tourism that are returning to full capacity.

The personal finance site, WalletHub compared over 180 American cities in a recent survey, and two New England locales stood out: Warwick, Rhode Island at number 6, and Portland, Maine at number 8.

Both are probably tough commutes from the Boston area on a daily basis, but a handful of jobs do come with seasonal housing.
