WHAT IS THE JUDGEMENT FREE GENERATION®?
The Judgement Free Generation® is Planet Fitness’ philanthropic initiative designed to combat the judgement and bullying faced by today’s youth by creating a culture of kindness and encouragement.
Bullying has become all-too-common in today’s society, with 1 in 4 youth reporting that they’ve been bullied and parents of school-aged children citing it as their #1 concern. With our Judgement Free Zone® philosophy as a solid foundation, we are committed to addressing this important issue.
THEIR MISSION
The Judgement Free Generation™ aims to empower a generation to grow up contributing to a more judgement free planet— a place where everyone feels accepted and like they belong.
THEIR PARTNERS
Together with their partners, they are providing youth with evidence-based tools and trainings across the country to create a culture where bullying is not accepted and kindness prevails.
Since Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the nation’s leading youth development organization, enables more than four million youth each year to reach their full potential, they believe that they can and will make a meaningful impact together.
WHAT THEY’RE DOING
Together with their partners, franchisees and members, they have:
- Donated approximately $3M to our charity partners since 2016
- Engaged in volunteer efforts at local Boys & Girls Clubs to help make their judgement free mission a reality, with the help of their passionate franchisees and staff
- Provided first-of-its-kind anti-bullying / pro-kindness training to Boys & Girls Club staff and youth leaders via local grants, reaching 764+ Boys & Girls Clubs across the U.S. (and counting!)
- Recognized standout Boys & Girls Club teen leaders through their Judgement Free Generation Scholarship Program for embodying the values of kindness and acceptance
- Launched a series of Mini Judgement Free Zones, which are positive, welcoming gym spaces in local Boys & Girls Clubs
