NHL postpones yet another Bruins game
The Bruins returned to practice Sunday. But their return to game action will be delayed until Saturday at the earliest, as the NHL has postponed yet another contest, this time wiping out the team’s Dec. 29 meeting with the Senators off the schedule.
This makes it six straight postponements for the Bruins, with the Black and Gold staying on the sidelines since their Dec. 16 loss to the Islanders on Long Island.
The postponements started with the Bruins not crossing the Canadian border for what would’ve been a back-to-back in Montreal and Ottawa, and continued with the Bruins put on pause through the holiday break, which wiped out home dates against the Avalanche and Hurricanes.
Over the weekend, the NHL reshaped their return to play plans based on testing protocols, and wiped the team’s Dec. 27 meeting with Pittsburgh off the board.
And as noted, this means that the next game on deck for the Bruins, as of right now, will be Jan. 1 at home against the Sabres.
