Jarred Tinordi drops gloves with Tom Wilson in heavyweight bout
In just his second game with the Bruins, Jarred Tinordi welcomed himself to Boston with a heavyweight tilt against Capitals forward Tom Wilson in the second period of a Friday night head-to-head at TD Garden.
With Tinordi at 6-foot-6 and 230, and Wilson at 6-foot-4 and 220, that was a lot of weaponry thrown around.
Tinordi’s fight, of course, was the Bruins’ response to a Wilson cheap shot that took Brandon Carlo out of the game in the first period, and came after the Bruins began the period with Patrice Bergeron going right up to Wilson and saying something to him before the period officially began.

Tinordi’s fight certainly provided a lift to the Bruins, too, with the B’s blowing things open for three goals on the Caps’ Vitek Vanecek as Wilson watched from the box.
