Bruins will play exhibition game vs. Blue Jackets
98.5 The Sports Hub staff report
The Bruins will not have to jump right into the frenzy of a round-robin for postseason seeding, as the team will skate against the Blue Jackets in a July 30 exhibition contest, the NHL announced Tuesday. The game will be at 7 p.m., according to league’s release.
Each team will play in one exhibition contest in their respective bubble cities over a three-day stretch from July 28-30, and Boston’s meeting with Columbus will come on the third and final day of these contests as the middle game between a 4 p.m. contest between the Predators and Stars and 10 p.m. showdown between the Golden Knights and Coyotes.
The Bruins went 0-1-1 against the Blue Jackets during the regular season, and their St. Patrick’s Day meeting in Boston was canceled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following their exhibition contest, the Bruins will move into their three-game round-robin, beginning with an Aug. 2 meeting against the Philadelphia Flyers.
