From the NHL Newswire at 985TheSportsHub.com.
Soon after the Bruins defeated the Maple Leafs in Game 7 on Tuesday night, the NHL announced the official start time of their next series.
The Bruins have advanced to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs and will take on the Columbus Blue Jackets, who swept the Presidents Trophy-winning Tampa Bay Lightning in the opening round. The NHL announced a quick turnaround for the B’s: Game 1 takes place at TD Garden on Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m.

Now that the Lightning and Flames are out of the playoffs altogether, that leaves the Bruins as the top remaining seed from the regular season. They now hold home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.
The road to the Stanley Cup has been well-paved for the B’s. But they’ll have to hope they play better and have an easier go of it against the Blue Jackets than Tampa did.
