Johnny Boychuk saving David Krejci’s teeth is the most hockey thing ever

The NHL may have pretty much banned fighting, but apparently you can still knock a dude's teeth right out of his head.

Bruins center David Krejci has a bit of a toothache this morning after he spit a couple of chiclets Thursday night on a hard hit by the Islanders' Thomas Hickey. Best part, though, was Krejci's former Bruins teammate Johnny Boychuck picking the teeth up and delivering them back to the Bruins bench. That's pro hockey, ladies and gentlemen.

You can see the whole saga unfold in the above clip from Thursday's game, which the Bruins won 2-1 in a shootout. The NESN cameras did a great job capturing the teeth toppling out of Krejci's mouth and to the ice, and Boychuk's good deed.

Legitimately wouldn't shock anyone if Krejci tried to just shove the teeth back in there. In typical hockey player fashion, he just kept right on playing despite being a bloody mess.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy didn't notice the lost teeth at first, but got a chuckle out of it afterward.

"I didn’t see Johnny do that. Brought it back to our bench? Or his own? He did? I love Johnny, he’s a good guy, but that’s weird," Cassidy joked.

Anyone who's willing to hand-deliver another man's teeth is a good guy in our book.
