Brad Marchand Earns NHL’s Second Star Of The Week
The NHL announced on Monday that Bruins winger Brad Marchand has been named the second star of the week for the week ending March 11. Marchand led the league with 8 points in just 3 games, earning the honor even while sitting out on Sunday against the Blackhawks.
Marchand got his week started with a massive game against the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday, netting his third career hat trick and adding two assists in a 6-5 overtime win. He scored the game-winner in both that game and two nights later against the Philadelphia Flyers, notching the go-ahead score with just 22 seconds left in regulation.
He topped his week off with two assists in a 7-4 win over the Blackhawks on Saturday.
