Felger: Uh Oh Mazz is already smirking about something.
Mazz: 13-0’s a record now, right?
Felger: Yeah.
Mazz: Has been?
Felger: I guess so, yeah.
Mazz: So they’ve extended it. Okay, I’m done with the 13-0 record thing. I’m done. Can they lose a home game now? Can we just move on from it?
Jim Murray: You’re not enjoying this?
Mazz: I’m not.
Jim Murray: Oh, come on.
Mazz: No, I mean, I’m not now. And I’ll tell you why I’m not.
Felger: I mean, I’m not either. I don’t even pay attention to the thing. I have no idea.
Jim Murray: Just all the winning, though.
Mazz: I know it’s good. The winning is good. Don’t get me wrong. The winning is good. The fact that they’ve won 13 in a row at home and they have a lost yet, 13-0 that’s great it’s a good record and everything. Let’s just say hypothetically, just play along. What if they went 41-0 at home? What do you think is going to happen in the playoffs?
Jim Murray: I mean, they’re not going to continue to win every game.
Mazz: BINGO Exactly right. That’s exactly right. They’re probably going to lose at home because home ice in the playoffs means nothing. It means garbage. So the record by definition is garbage. So you know what? I’m not telling you they’re not playing well, they are. I don’t give a rat’s ass that they’re 13-0 at home. At the end of the day, all I care about is the total points. I would like to get rid of this streak and end it so it doesn’t continue to be a useless topic of discussion because that’s what I think it is.
Felger: Well, who’s talking about it?
Mazz: We are right now.
Felger: No, we’re not. I’ve spent zero time on it and I will continue to spend zero time.
Mazz: Okay. So, but I say like last night, I just sense that it’s this thing. Like last night they put it up on the screen during the, you know, when they won the game. 13-0. You know, did we just play Judd or Jack? Okay, whatever one that we played mentioned the 13-0, and I’m thinking, why do people care about this? Do fans really care about 13-0?
J-Stew: It’s a cool streak.
Jim Murray: Because it hasn’t happened before. I’m with Jimmy.
Mazz: Okay, but that’s established, right? It’s now a record. Lose one.
J-Stew: Run it up.
Jim Murray: I’m with Jimmy. They’re such a wagon that the guy that we just played the goal from and he’s talking about Taylor Hall, he’s on their third line. And this is typically a guy who’s been a malcontent in the past and he doesn’t care.
Mazz: So the phrase wagon. Do you think they’re a wagon?
Felger: No.
Mazz: Me neither.
J-Stew: Right now they are.
Mazz: They’re playing great. They’re not a wagon.
Felger: Colorado’s a wagon. Tampa’s a wagon.
J-Stew: The Devils. Do you like the Devils as a wagon?
Mazz: No, no, they’re not a wagon either. But you got Colorado on Saturday night, that would be a good one to lose at home.
