Celtics beat Thunder 134-129 in Super Bowl Sunday shootout

BOSTON - The Celtics continued their winning ways on Super Bowl Sunday with a 134-129 shootout win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

It was a total team effort for the Green, with eight players hitting double figures, including Kyrie Irving with a team-high 30 points.

Marcus Morris had 19 points and seven rebounds. Marcus Smart added 18 points, including four three-pointers. Al Horford put up 17 points and brought down nine rebounds.

Jayson Tatum had 11 points and hit two free throws to seal the game late.

The Celtics bench contributed in the win. Daniel Theis had 14 points, Jaylen Brown put up 12 points, and Terry Rozier added 10 points.

Paul George had a game-high 37 points for Oklahoma City. Russell Westbrook put up a triple-double in the losing effort with 22 points, 16 assists, and 12 rebounds.

The Celtics now head to Cleveland on Tuesday night.
