The New England Patriots' 2024 season is over, and now they know where they'll be picking at the top of the 2025 NFL Draft order.

After Sunday's 23-16 win over the Buffalo Bills at Gillatte Stadium, the Patriots are now picking fourth overall in the 2025 draft when the first round takes place on April 24. They finished with a 4-13 record on the 2024 season, while the Cleveland Browns, New York Giants, and Tennessee Titans all lost in Week 18 to finished 3-14. That ultimately landed the Patriots as the worst of the 4-13 squads.

The Patriots simply needed to lose on Sunday to secure the No. 1 pick, so the victory will no doubt be met with derision from everyone who envisioned the Pats finding themselves at the top of the draft. Their outlook on the first round and beyond is much different than it seemed entering Sunday.

Now, the Patriots - and whoever is running the front office, be it Eliot Wolf or someone else - will have to navigate the first round much differently than they would have if they held the top prize in the draft.
