Nine players are listed on the Patriots' first injury report of the 2024 season.

Over the summer as players get banged up in practice, NFL teams don't have to disclose any information about injuries. With the regular season now here though, the Patriots will go back to releasing injury reports in the three days leading up to each game. On Wednesday the team released its first injury report of the season, adding clarity to some injury situations from the summer.

In total, nine players are listed on the Patriots' initial injury report. Of those nine, guard Sidy Sow (ankle) is the only non-participant. Sow hasn't practiced since suffering in the injury in the Patriots' preseason finale.

Starting center and team captain David Andrews told Zolak & Bertrand earlier on Wednesday that Sow is still "banged up," with head coach Jerod Mayo later saying the team is still working to figure out its starting five for Sunday's game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Adding to the uncertainty up front is the status of left tackle Vederian Lowe (abdomen), who was hurt in practice in the week leading up to the final preseason game. Lowe was one of four players limited on Wednesday along with linebackers Joshua Uche (foot) and Oshane Ximines (ankle) and cornerback Jonathan Jones (hamstring). Like Lowe, all three of those players missed time down the stretch in camp.

Finally, four players were listed as full participants. They are tight end Hunter Henry (foot), defensive lineman Deatrich Wise (hamstring), and linebackers Anfernee Jennings (wrist) and Christian Elliss (concussion).

For the Bengals, four total players are listed on their injury report. That includes wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (not injury related/rest), who returned to practice in uniform after holding out for most of the summer. Offensive tackle Amarius Mims (pectoral) and defensive tackle Kris Jenkins (thumb) were also limited. Quarterback Joe Burrow (right wrist) is listed as a full participant as he works his way back from the injury that ended his season early last year.
