Wednesday morning, it was reported that the Patriots had veteran free agent cornerback Brian Poole in town for a workout. It turns out Poole wasn't the only cornerback to meet with the Patriots on Wednesday.

According to ESPN's Mike Reiss, the team also hosted 28-year-old cornerback De'Vante Bausby on Wednesday. Bausby entered the NFL as a UDFA out of Pittsburgh State in 2015, and has played for six NFL teams since. He also spent a season with the San Antonio Commanders of the now-defunct AAF.

Bausby spent the majority of last season with the Denver Broncos. Playing in 10 games with three starts, he recorded five pass breakups. He spent this past summer with the Las Vegas Raiders, before being released in mid-August.

The Patriots could look to add cornerback depth to their roster in the coming days. Wednesday's injury report had five defensive backs, including starting corners Jonathan Jones and Jalen Mills.
