Wide receiver Josh Gordon is officially an ex-Patriot.
Placed on injured reserve and waived by the Patriots last week -- and claimed off waivers by the Seahawks last Friday -- Monday came and went with the 28-year-old passing his physical with Seattle, and with 'Flash' already looking towards his Seahawk debut next Monday night against the undefeated San Francisco 49ers.
Acquired from the Browns in Sept. 2018, Gordon played in 17 games with the Patriots, totaling 60 catches for 1,007 yards and four touchdowns in between another suspension in 2018 and some injury woes during the 2019 season.
Battling ankle and knee injuries in 2019, it was that on-field uncertainty that prompted the Patriots to officially move on from the 6-foot-3 wideout following the acquisition of Mohamed Sanu Sr. before the trade deadline.
Barring a Super Bowl showdown between the sides, the Patriots will not face Gordon and the Seahawks this season.
