Tom Brady says he’s quitting Twitter, but it’s likely he just wanted to roast sports business analyst Darren Rovell for his latest video.

Tom Brady may be leaving Twitter after just a week on the platform. And if it's true, we can all blame it on Darren Rovell.

The Patriots quarterback sent out a seemingly tongue-in-cheek "announcement" on Tuesday that he's leaving Twitter. He did it in response to a video that Rovell tweeted before Monday's NCCA men's basketball championship game, which features the sports business analyst singing the theme song of the Final Four, David Barrett's "One Shining Moment".

Needless to say, Rovell's singing and dancing was ... not good. And Brady may have let him know how bad it was by just quitting Twitter altogether:

Rovell has over 2 million Twitter followers and sometimes breaks big stories in the world of sports branding. He's among the most prominent reporters in that space, going back to his time at ESPN. But he also takes a beating on social media and from prominent outlets like Barstool Sports for his posts being, well, lame and awkward. And apparently, his latest video was so lame it made the GOAT get off Twitter for good.

Hopefully this isn't actually the end of Brady on Twitter. Because burns like this one on Rovell are too good to not be a daily occurrence.
