Dez Bryant Tells People He’s ‘Probably’ Going to New England
Wide receiver Dez Bryant’s public campaign to join the New England Patriots continued Tuesday night. At a Beyonce and Jay-Z concert at AT&T Stadium of all places, and with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones hanging out with Bryant all the while.
According to Dallas-area sports radio personality Gavin Dawson, who hosts a midday show on 105.3 The Fan, Bryant and Jones were cordial, but the 29-year-old free agent continued to tell people that asked that he’s going to join the Patriots.

That’s… something.
Of course, it’s just the latest step in what has been a desperate free agent campaign on the part of Bryant. One that’s included publicly fawning over the genius of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and New England head coach Bill Belichick on Instagram, and tweeting about his desire to join the Patriots’ wide receiver corps during the first Sunday of the 2018 NFL season.
Bryant, who hauled in 69 catches for 838 yards and six scores a season ago, had a workout with the Cleveland Browns in the preseason, but left Cleveland without a contract offer and remains unsigned entering the second week of the regular season.
Credit to Bryant, though, as he’s doing his best to will his way into Foxboro, even with the Pats reportedly still not expressing much of an interest in Bryant, and with wide receivers Corey Coleman and Bennie Fowler added to the mix on Tuesday.
